SELF-CONTROL OVER OFFENSES

Galatians 5:22-23 But, the fruit of the Spirit is Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-control. SELF-CONTROL Self-control is thinking before acting. And seriously considering the possible results before taking any action.  Before you react, always think of what the action might lead to.  It might lead to; ✓ Public Disgrace, ✓ Dispute; among families, Friends & Colleagues, couples.  ✓ Malice ✓ Lack of Peace of Mind. SELF-CONTROL OVER OFFENSES Luke: 7:1   Then said He to the Disciples, it is impossible that offenses should , bunot comet woe to him through whom they do come. As a human being, it is not possible that people won't offend you. People will surely offend you in your house, office, school, market places, in the street and even inside the church. • Both the Rich and Poor faces offense. • Good and the Bad people faces offense. The offenses shouldn't be your problem, but how to control yourself should be you...

MY DESTINY VS ALTARS

“And it came to pass the same night, that the LORD said unto him, Take thy father’s young bullock, even the second bullock of seven years old, and throw down the altar of Baal that thy father hath, and cut down the grove that is by it. And build an altar unto the LORD thy God upon the top of this rock, in the ordered place, and take the second bullock, and offer a burnt sacrifice with the wood of the grove which thou shalt cut down.” Judges 6:25-25 Introduction An altar is usually a separate and raised platform used for offering sacrifices and burning incense for worship. Today we are looking at how to pull down evil altars fighting against our Divine destiny. An evil altar is a platform or a separate place where sacrifices are offered by the agents of darkness like a priest or a wicked one to cage or hold the destiny of men down. An evil altar is a place where the souls of men are caged and destroyed by the devil. When this evil altar is raised against a man, it goes to work to ...

BE GRACE CAUTIOUS PT 2

“In our work together with God, then, we beg you who have received God’s grace not to let it be wasted.” – (2 Corinthians 6:1)  3. KING SAUL Nobody clearly epitomises a waster of grace like Saul, the first king of the nation of Israel. Saul has become a proverbial story of failure and lost opportunity. Starting from 1 Samuel 8, God made his displeasure for having a king known to the Israelites. Samuel warned them, but in vs 19 of 1 Samuel 8, the Bible says; “nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel; and they said, “No, but we will have a king over us”.  God chose him, even when there was no trace of him being ready or prepared for the job — he just appeared in 1 Samuel 9:1. T was unlike God. Most of the kings and leaders that God chose had very traceable histories of preparation. Abraham’s story was very traceable (Genesis 12, 13, 14, and 15); Jacob’s journey to the top was very traceable — from his days in his father’s house to the house of Laban to h...

BE GRACE CAUTIOUS PT. 1

“In our work together with God, then, we beg you who have received God’s grace not to let it be wasted.” – (2 Corinthians 6:1) We are in a season of the outpouring of God’s grace on the church — the deluge of favour and the latter rain.  Grace in this teaching is referred to as God’s supernatural ability and empowerment for accomplishing God’s purposes on earth. The Bible makes it clear that;  “But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ” (Ephesians 4:7). That grace is your natural gift and abilities and your supernatural abilities and gifts. This area of grace will be accounted for. You will stand before God and tell him what you did with what you were given.  Some of these unique graces we get from God include: Unique ability to lead — leadership grace. Unique ability to write songs and sing — musical grace. Unique ability to write and teach (and the Lord has given both him and Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Da...

OH LORD, SHOW ME MERCY

And he showed me Joshua the high Priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him. (Zachariah3:1) Zechariah 3 talks of a vision shown by God Almighty to the prophet Zechariah concerning Joshua who was the High Priest at the time. The job of Joshua as the High Priest is to connect the people to God by generally praying and interceding for them.  It therefore means that in carrying out this duty, Joshua must approach God in righteousness because the God we are talking about is a God whose eyes are so pure that they cannot behold iniquity. But here, Joshua was standing before God in filthy garments. WHAT GARMENT ARE YOU WEARING? Filthy garment can be termed a dirty garment; it is a garment that is stained. It is a garment of unrighteousness, a garment of sin. It is a garment of faithlessness and doubt. The only thing that can separate us from God, making us not to have an experience with Him is sin. For anyone to successfully serve God h...

OVERCOMING THINGS OF THE WORLD

Beloved, as we live in a sinful world we will always have struggles with sin, however it is very important to remember that as a child of God we do not belong to the world though we are in the world... "not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world"  1Cor 5:10 Beloved, Apostle Paul says you would have to leave this world to be free from sins, however, we need to remind ourselves that we do not belong to this world.  Jesus said; John 15:19 "The world would love you as one of its own if you belonged to it, but you are no longer part of the world. I chose you to come out of the world, so it hates you." Brethren, there are many people who are struggling with certain sins or addictions even after the knowledge of the truth... this is because there are certain things they are not doing, I will like to share certain principles of overcoming lust  PRINCIPLES OF OVERCOMI...

GOOD NEWS

It's been One month of fasting and praying to God for a Divine start for the year 2023. I want to officially welcome you into 2023 our year of GoodNews from the Lord our God. 1 Samuel 3 v 11; And the LORD said to Samuel, Behold, I will do a thing in Israel, at which both the ears of every one that heareth it shall tingle. Beloved, your time of manifestation has finally come. Your time of rejoicing is here. It does not matter how long you’ve been in that condition, you are coming out in Jesus name. The doctor’s report may have told you that your sickness is incurable. Your landlord may be threatening you with quit notice. Your marriage may be experiencing ups and downs. You are currently facing an embarrassing situation, and your finances are dwindling, I have good news for you, Jesus the Great deliverer will deliver you. Psalm 34:19. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all. Are you on the verge of giving up? Don’t give up. Quitters nev...

DON'T BE IN A HURRY!

For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future.  Jeremiah 29:11 Many of us are in a hurry to show off our wealth to the same public that will fight very hard to pull us down. The best way to show our wealth is in investment and Assets not on pleasure and Liabilities. We may be calling on God for a brand new car, and God is asking you to wait! And you may be saying oh God, my mates are car owners, flashy cars and I'm still trekking with my foot, I would love to be a car owner myself. And God is only preventing you from the expenses that will come after being a car owner. You need an Asset to be able to maintain a car. You need and investment to be able to feul a car. You have a family to take care of, let your car not deprive you of your family responsibilities. When our heart is set on what to do, we are only greedy to rely on the satisfaction alone, the pleasure this car we give to us, how my fri...

CHARITY BEGINS FROM HOME

If your Family is hungry and you're busy feeding people outside it's a waste of love. It's never love but a show!  (1 Timothy 5:8) "But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever” Indeed, charity begins at home! We are required to be responsible for our immediate family before we should attempt to extend the same sense of responsibility to the outside world.  Also remember the spoon that feed you when you where hungry. Remember those who prayed for you when you needed Divine help. Remember those who where by your side when everyone rejected you. What about those who believe in you and your dreams, who supported you with the little they can when the world taught it's over with you. Don't be in a hurry to neglect them. Remember also that no one is too small for God to raise, and no one is too big for God to humble. Do to others what you feel is right for others to do f...

A GOOD NAME

A Good Name is rather to be chosen than a great riches, and loving favour than Silver and Gold. (Proverbs 22:1) Beloved, pursue after good name because it last for eternity. Money and fame may fade away someday, but a good name will remain in the heart of the society. Many have sold their name to the love of wealth and fame.  There's nothing wrong for anyone to be rich, infact it's our right as a Christian to prosper both in good health. God Himself hate poverty, and he gave us 6 days out of the 7 days in a week to work so that we can get food, clothes, shelter and to pay bills. God Himself knew that without money, we His children will face difficulties to survive, for money answers all our needs. (Ecclesiastes 10:19) How do we go about this money? Is the major concern to God, and the reason why He said, the love of money has turn so many people into doing evil.  1 Timothy 6:10 This is so because, many don't care about their reputation as long as they can touch this mone...
