NEW IDENTIFICATION

*INSPIRATION* (Giving direction to your day) By: Pastor Ola Aina                                Topic: NEW IDENTIFICATION* Text: Isaiah 62:2 “And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory; and thou shall be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name.” (Isa 62:2) Names play a very significant role in virtually every culture. *In several cultures names are given to signify the period the person was born, the type of family they were born into and in some cases the circumstances surrounding the birth of the person.* *A name serves majorly as a means of identification.* There are some names that once you hear them you can say precisely where the person is coming from. *Its interesting to note that God also has promised and fulfilled the promise to also give us a new name.* This is extremely important for us to understand. This therefore forms our new ...

DISCONNECT AND CONNECT

*INSPIRATION* (Giving direction to your day) By: Pst Ola Aina Topic: DISCONNECT AND CONNECT Text: 5:27-28 “When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. For she said, if I may touch but his cloths, I shall be whole.” (Mark 5:27-28) This woman in our anchor scripture today had suffered so long from this problem. She had done everything possible medically to get her problem solved but nothing worked out. She had lost so much money all in a bid to get a solution. She eventually had an encounter with the healing power of God. The most natural thing to do in such a terrible state was to be so engrossed or preoccupied with the challenge. This woman at this point of her life realised that getting preoccupied with her challenge was not the way out.  *She had to disconnect from her pain to connect with the possibilities of God.*  *She began to talk to herself. She knew within herself that it was not over.* She knew right from within t...

HIDDEN SIN IS A KILLER

Topic: Hidden Sin is a Killer By: Enwenemati Kinika Kingsley Introduction: I love reading and studying the Old Testament.  It is very clear that the things that the nation of Israel went through were recorded for our benefit; to be an example to us of how to live a life that is not only pleasing to God but also a life that is happy, prosperous and fulfilling. When I read the Old Testament and come across the word “Israel”, I substitute my name for “Israel”.  So, for example, I might read “Israel has sinned…”   and substitute “Kinika has sinned…”  Or, “God’s anger burned against Israel” and substitute “God’s anger burned against Kinika”.  You get the idea. It’s quite an eye-opener when you personalize the scripture in this way.  You see that the victories and defeats that Israel faced are very much the same as what you and I face everyday in our Christian lives but on a different scale. Israel, like you and me, had a tendency to run to God when th...

WHY HELL?

Topic: Why Hell? Text: Romans 1:20 How Can a Loving God Send Anyone to Hell? Many atheists use this argument against the faith, but here are the facts. As you may have had someone ask you, or you may have been asked yourself, how a loving God could possibly ever send someone to hell. It’s a valid question to want to have answered. If the Bible says God is so loving, then surely he would never condemn someone to such a place. However there are a lot of problems with the question itself, and with some logic and Biblical explanation the question clearly can be answered. Firstly, we have to define what a loving God is. The phrase assumes that a “loving God” as a non-confrontational being who will tolerate anything someone does. However that is not the Biblical definition of what God’s love is. God does not tolerate sin, and in fact hates sins of murder. According to 1 John 4:16 says that “God is love.” That means that God is the definition of love, and therefore cannot do...

EVIL ABOUT FORNICATION

Topic: Evil About Fornication Text: Numbers 25:2 In Number 25:2, after the children of Israel began to fornicate with the Moabitish ladies, they accompanied them to idolatrous feasts, ate food sacrificed to idols and bowed down to their gods. Any idol you bow to has authority over you. Any idol you submit to can destroy you at will. The implication of bowing to an idol is that it has been empowered to do and undo in your life, and that it has become a course- charter for that individual. Shadrack, Meshack, and Abednego refused to bow to Nebuchadnezzar’s golden idol because they knew that would have been their end. Jesus also refused to bow to Satan because evil should bow to good. Any idol you bow to will inherit your rights. Stop bowing to lifeless objects and demons from today! Bow only to the King of kings -Jesus Christ! If you are a fornicator, you are an idol worshipper! Another evil of fornication is that it robs the fornicator of power of control. Most fornicators ...

POWER TO OVERCOME WITCHCRAFT

Topic: Power To Overcome Witchcraft Text: Leviticus 20:27 “Witchcraft is counterfeit spiritual authority; it is using a spirit other than the Holy Spirit to dominate, manipulate or control others. The practice of witchcraft has dramatically increased throughout the world in recent years. One of the expressed goals of this movement is to destroy biblical Christianity. Many Christians are presently suffering some form of attack from those who practice witchcraft. Discerning the nature of these attacks, and knowing how to overcome them, is becoming crucial for all believers. We are exhorted not to be ignorant of the enemy’s schemes (II Corinthians 2:11). Peter warned us: ‘Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour. But resist him, steadfast in faith…’ (I Peter 5:8-9). Understanding Satan’s schemes significantly increases our advantage in the battle. The entire church age has been one of spiritual warfare...

LET GOD DECIDE

TOPIC: *LET GOD DECIDE* TEXT: GENESIS 26:1-5 Summary: *"And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of" (Genesis 26:2).* A story was told of a man who have a promising job. With this job, he could rise to a great position in future. But because of the frenetic rush to travel abroad, he forsook his job. On getting there, he could only lay hands on a menial job that only elementary certificate holders could do in his country. He quickly came back to takeover his former employment in his country notwithstanding the years wasted. Today, he occupies a prime position and enjoys blessings he could never have enjoyed in the other country. God told Isaac not to go down to Egypt despite the famine in his state of nativity. In Egypt, even when there was no rain, River Nile was always there to provide water for the lands. Crops grew from time to time despite low precipitation. There was always food when there...

FAITH

Topic: FAITH By: Pastor Layi Bamidele When your heart is truly open your heaven will be opened. Faith is the principal tool you need in the school of Dominion. In Acts 6:7, the bible says: “And the word of God increased, and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly, and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith”. If God must move, faith is the only key you can use to move Him. Hebrew 11:6-7 says: “But without faith it is impossible to please him, for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” By faith Noah being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the savings of his house, by the which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteous-ness which is by faith. What do we mean by Faith? Hebrew 11:1 says: “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Faith can also be referred to as tapping into d...

INDECENCY IN OUR CHILDREN

TOPIC: INDECENCY IN OUR CHILDREN BY: IGBAFE OLUSEYE TEXT: PROVERBS 22:6 OUR CHILDREN ARE SEXY! Parent competition on making children go astray. Few weeks ago, I was at the local airport and as I waited in the departure lounge, I noticed there were many children roaming about but it was understandable since it was summer holiday. One other thing I noticed was the way most of the children were dressed. Most of them, especially the girls, were dressed in bum shorts, halter necks, cut off jeans, etc. The clothes in themselves weren't the issue per se; it was the overall look of the children that had me bothered. That was definitely not the first time I noticed it. A few months before, I had taken my kids to a birthday party and found myself in what could easily have been a night club for kids. Scanty clothing such as tight or very short clothes, bum shorts, long weaves, etc, seemed to be the dress code. I noticed my son glancing around, probably wondering, "What i...

WHY DOES GOD TEST US?

Topic: Why does God test us? Text: James 1:2 When we ask why God tests us or allows us to be tested, we are admitting that testing does indeed come from Him. When God tests His children, He does a valuable thing. David sought God’s testing, asking Him to examine his heart and mind and see that they were true to Him (Psalm 26:2; 139:23). When Abram was tested by God in the matter of sacrificing Isaac, Abram obeyed (Hebrews 11:17–19) and showed to all the world that he is the father of faith (Romans 4:16). In both the Old and New Testaments, the words translated “test” mean “to prove by trial.” Therefore, when God tests His children, His purpose is to prove that our faith is real. Not that God needs to prove it to Himself since He knows all things, but He is proving to us that our faith is real, that we are truly His children, and that no trial will overcome our faith. In His Parable of the Sower, Jesus identifies the ones who fall away as those who receive the seed of God’s ...

SECURING MIRACLES 3

Topic: SECURING MIRACLES 3 Speaker: Pastor Ola Aina Text: Romans 8:11 *INSPIRATION* (Giving direction to your day) “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” (Rom 8:11) So far we have looked at the miracle of creation and also the miracle of the conception of Jesus. *The third miracle we are looking at is the miracle of the resurrection of Jesus from the dead.* Here again we’ll see how the Holy Spirit was involved. Did you notice again just as we have seen in the two previous miracles that the Spirit of God was directly responsible for the resurrection of Jesus from the dead? Let me state clearly here that there is nothing significant any of us can do as believers without the involvement of the Holy Spirit. This is a major lesson each one of us must learn as believers. *The good news from our anchor scripture today is that...

FIX YOUR THOUGHTS

Topic: FIX YOUR THOUGHTS* Speaker: Pastor Ola Aina Text: Philippians 4:8 *INSPIRATION* (Giving direction to your day) “And now, dear brothers and sisters let me say one more thing as I close this letter. Fix your thoughts on what is true and honourable and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely...”Phil 4:8 (NLT) *✍Focus determines reality. What we set our minds on defines for us what is real.* If we focus on the lies of the devil it assumes the control of our lives. If someone tells you that you are good for nothing and you keep focusing on that it becomes real in your life. *✍Life experiences will also begin to comply with our focus.* It’s so important that we deliberately begin to focus our minds on things that are true about us according to scriptures. We may see ourselves as imperfect and unqualified; but then the truth of God’s word reveals to us that God is at work in us. we are projects in the hand of God and he will keep working on us until the best in...

SOMETHING OUT OF NOTHING

Topic: SOMETHING OUT OF NOTHING* Speaker: Pastor Ola Aina Text: Genesis 1:2 *INSPIRATION* (Giving direction to your day) “And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the deep…” (Genesis 1:2) The scripture above is a description of the earth at the beginning of creation. One of it was that it was “…Void...” This means empty. God actually made all that he made out of nothing. Hebrews 11: 3 says “… Things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” The message Bible says “…What we see created by what we don’t see.” God in his infinite wisdom created everything we see today out of nothing. *God is still in the business of doing the same thing.* The present state of our lives is not a shock to God. Your life may look empty today. Your business and career may look the same way today but something great can come out of it if you will allow the wisdom of God to take over that aspect of your life. This is actually good news to us. So much bea...

SECURING MIRACLES

Topic: SECURING MIRACLES 2 Speaker: Pastor Ola Aina Text: Luke 1:35 *INSPIRATION* (Giving direction to your day)                   “...The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee...” (Luke 1:35) *✍The emphasis we are making in this study is that the Spirit of God has a major role to play in our lives. * Apart from knowing what God did in scriptures; which defines possibilities for us; we must also understand how God did those things so that they can become a reality in our lives. Yesterday we saw clearly how the Spirit of God worked. Today again we’ll see clearly another major miracle in scriptures. *The conception of Jesus by Virgin Mary was a miracle. * The angel came to her to announce what God wanted to do through her. *She could not figure out how it will happen. It was completely against every biological process of conception.* Her question was  *“...How shall this be,...

WALKING IN DOMINION

Topic: Walking in Dominion Text: Ephesians 1:19-23 Introduction: God is positioning us to advance His kingdom into every realm held captive by the enemies. It is a full frontal, all out, now or never battle and victory is guaranteed! When God created man, He gave man dominion over everything on earth (Gen. 1:26-28). Unfortunately, Adam fell out of favor and dominion when he disobeyed God. Christ Jesus is the perfect example of God’s dominion restored onto humanity. When Jesus wanted to pay the temple tax, He only needed to command a fish to bring the money (Matt. 17:24-27). When Jesus was in the boat with the disciples and there was storm, he spoke to the storm and it obeyed him. I prophesy peace be still in your lives in the name of Jesus Christ, the name that is above all names Amen. Every sick person who came to Him went away healed. The lame walked, the blind saw, the dead came back to life because He had dominion over death! To be successful in this commission, we ...

The Fruit of the Holy Spirit

Topic: The Fruit of the Spirit Speaker: Enwenemati Kinika Kingsley Scripture: Galatians 5: 22-23 Introduction: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.” (Galatians 5:22-23) The Holy Spirit gives us the power we need to reject those old sinful desires. We can say “no” to sin and accept the “way out” God faithfully provides (1 Corinthians 10:13) by following the Holy Spirit’s leading. As we give the Spirit more control of our lives, He begins to do in and through us what only He can do - to shape us and grow us to look like Jesus (2 Corinthians 3:17-18). Since God’s goal for all His children is for us to be like Jesus (Romans 8:29), the Holy Spirit constantly works to rid our lives of the “acts of the sinful nature” (Gal 5:19) and display His fruit instead. Therefore, the presence of the “fruit of the Spirit” is evidence that our character is becoming more ...

Hypocrisy in the Church Part 1

TOPIC: THE PRESENCE OF HYPOCRISY IN THE CHURCH Speaker: Enwenemati Kinika Kingsley Text: Mathew 13:24-30 Introduction: Jesus says that there will be both good & evil people in this world, & they’ll be living side by side. Even the church will not be immune to this mixture.  Definition:  Hypocrite means when we are trying to deceive, pretending to be, or presenting ourself as something that we know we are not. This is commonly found in our churches today. Turn with me to Mathew 13:24-30. In this passage Jesus is talking about the presence of good & evil in this world. Please listen as I read it to you. “Jesus told them another parable: ‘The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came & sowed weeds among the wheat, & went away. ‘When the wheat sprouted & formed heads, then the weeds also appeared. The owner’s servants came to him & said, ‘Sir, didn’t you s...

Hypocrisy in the Church Part 2

TOPIC: DEADLY SIN OF HYPOCRISY SPEAKER: ENWENEMATI KINIKA KINGSLEY SCRIPTURE: ACTS 4:36, 5:11 INTRODUCTION In Part 1 we discused about the presence of hypocrisy in the church, in this Part 2 we are going to look on the Deadly sin of hypocrisy. Hypocrisy is not humorous; it’s a dangerous and deadly sin. The hypocrisy of professing Christians has served as an excuse for many to disregard the claims of Christ, saying,  “The church is full of hypocrites.” The hypocrisy of Christian leaders has caused many believers to stumble. While Jesus was tender with many notorious sinners, He used scathing language to denounce those guilty of religious hypocrisy. The story of Ananias and Sapphira warns us of the danger of the sin of hypocrisy. It was literally deadly for this couple. Someone has said that if God dealt with all hypocrites in the church as He dealt with this couple, our churches would become morgues! In Acts 4, we saw the enemy attacking the church from w...
