God Promises Shall come to Pass

Topic: God Promises Shall come to Pass

Speaker: Enwenemati Kinika Kingsley (LLB, HSE)

Text: Ezekiel 12 : 25

Introduction
God is going to bring to pass what He has promised. Many of us have received prophecies from great men of God and it seems not to have come to pass. E.g we have been told that we will be great in d future, we will get married before 25 yrs old, we will travel abroad for studies, we will receive the fruit of the womb by this month, we will dedicate our lands, houses etc. But nothing has happened yet and we are wondering why?

My question for you this morning is

“Are those words from God?”

 if Yes, then it shall come to pass. After.my secondary school in 2007, I was preparing to travel abroad for studies, the Lord minister to me through my sister, this where His word

"My son, I am not against your studies abroad neither Am I against your degree course, but I want you to know that your destiny on earth is to preach the gospel, I have called you to be an Evangelist, before you were born I have ordained you an evangelist"

I was not a born again as of then, so I never took it seriouse. But today, by the grace of God, I'm a law graduate from Northumbria University, Newcastle Uk. And I am preaching the gospel in my church and entire community. His words has come to pass in my life and am happy to work for God as an Evangelist.

 I pray that any God’s word on you shall manifest in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Evidence:
There are so many evidence in the scripture that the word of God shall come to pass in our lives. Below are few scriptures of them;
Ezekiel 12:25
Jeremiah 1:12
Habakkuk 2:3
Jeremiah 32:27

God is not interested in your sufferings neither your groans, for He knows what is best for you and at the appropriate time to give them to you. For He knows the thought He has for you, Peace and not evil, to give you a pleasant and satisfying end.

When He promise He will never fail to bring it to pass, if it has not come to pass yet doesn’t mean it will not come, for surely it will manifest.
However, there are reasons it has not come to pass, and I am going to discuss them with you accordingly;

1. Appointed Time (Habakkuk 2:3);
The scripture says

“For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry” (Habakkuk 2:3 KJV).

At this period, God is busy designing your future, all you have to do is to wait patiently. But many believers fall out of track during this period of wait, this are time we face many trials and test by God if we are ready to receive his blessings or not, for the blessings of God maketh riches and added no sorrow. God will not give you what will suffer you to perish.

Many believers may face trials and test especially while waiting for the fulfilment of these promises. But there are things we must not do during this period of waiting for the appointed time. (1 Corinthians 10:13)

Seven Don’ts:
Let us examine what a believer should not do in the middle of tests, trials and troubles while waiting so that he or she will not land in more troubles;

1. Do not Blame God:
When we pray, we lament and blame God and one would wonder if it was God that physically brought down the problems on us.

2. Don’t brake down:
If you break down on tears and sobs, the devil will be happy and continue to make fun of you.

For instance; you have a 10 years old child who came to you to collect your car key to drive your car and you knew she can’t drive and she is crying bitterly for the car key, you knew that if you give her that car key she will end up destroying your car and as well die in accident. So you have to let her know that she need to come to age, go for a driving school and then she can enjoy driving your cars at anytime.

That is how we are to God, God knows our heart desires, but He is slow to give them to us not to deny it to us because we need to wait for the appointed time to have them to our satisfaction.

3. Don’t give up:
Know that God who has promised will bring it to pass, don’t give up. Wait patiently for it, don’t allow your blessings to be given to another. Many believer’s destiny has been given to another because of impatient. They decided not to serve God again because what they believed God is silent to their prayers.

For instance; a lady was cooking in the kitchen, she was preparing a fresh tilapia fish and her 5 year old daughter walks in and ask for fish, her mother told her to be patient for her to finish preparing the fish but the little girl was crying, rolling on the floor that she want to eat the raw fresh fish, but her mum refused giving her for she knows that is will cause her daughter harm. The daughter now ran away from the kitchen, after the woman finished preparing the meal her daughter could not be found again to eat the meal, she waited and waited to serve her daughter but she’s no where to be found she has to give it to another to avoid the fish to waste.

That is how we are to God, when God finished preparing our meals we have given up, we no longer go to Church or weekly activities as we use to do. He gives it to the ones he sees. The Bible says; “My word which I send forth will not come back to me void but it shall come to pass.”

4. Don’t Be Discouraged:
A discouraged person is helpless. A discouraged husband will make life unbearable for his wife at home, a discouraged wife makes life unbearable to her husband at home. Many husbands today has concubines outside their marriages in search of a child.

Many women commit adultery to get pregnant for their husbands. Young men involved in ritual killings to make wealth, people commit suicide but cause of poverty, many Nigerians has lost their lives in Libya in search of greener pastures etc.

Discouragement is a very useful tools in the hands of the devil, a great weapon to frustrate lives. I pray that won’t be your portion in Jesus name, Amen.

5. Don’t Lose Your Joy:
In Philippians 4:4 it says; Rejoice in the Lord always, for the Lord is at hand. The Spirit of God that has all understanding shall rest upon your heart and mind when you Rejoice in the Lord.

6. Don’t Worry:
Anyone who worries is paying for the excess luggage of the enemy. A song say; “Why am I worried when I have Jesus Christ, who cares for me every moment? Why am I worried? Why am I worried? He cares for me every moment “

7. Don’t Fear:
Fear has torment s and the devil uses it to withdraw the peace of anyone who entertain it. God has not given us the Spirit of fear but of Power and sound mind. What is in you is greater than what is in the world.

• When we do these things it is a sign that you don’t believe in the word of God, it delays our promises, when our hearts are far from God, God will separate His presence from us. I pray it will not be our portion in Jesus name, Amen.

2. Foundation:
Our foundation can stand as a hindrance to our destiny and prophecy. Especially those of us who are from an idle worshiping homes, whom our parents or fore fathers worship idles. Can face different trials and tribulations in life. This idles stand as a stumbling block to our destinations.

A good example is found in Isaiah 45:1-2; A king called Cyrus whom God has anointed to subdue nations but found himself being subdued because of the idles around him. He doesn’t know he’s God who has called Him. But God promised to go with him and to brake every ancients gate and bars of iron surrounding him and holding him captive.

To subdue nations around him and to possess all his possessions.

What are this Gates of Brass and Bars of Iron?

These are very mighty and strong spiritual gates governed by ancestral spirits from the idles of our fore fathers house or community that worship idles.

They places a very tight restrictions and frustration and even killing destinies. Hindering the promises of God not to manifest in our lives. If you are born in such family or community you need God deliverance.

I pray that after this sermon, every ancestral gates in your life will be broken in Jesus name, Amen.

For God To Deliver You;

1. You need to be born again
2. Get baptized in a Bible believing Church
3. Seek for God’s mercy upon your life

MY DESTINY VS ALTARS

  “And it came to pass the same night, that the LORD said unto him, Take thy father’s young bullock, even the second bullock of seven years old, and throw down the altar of Baal that thy father hath, and cut down the grove that is by it. And build an altar unto the LORD thy God upon the top of this rock, in the ordered place, and take the second bullock, and offer a burnt sacrifice with the wood of the grove which thou shalt cut down.” Judges 6:25-25 Introduction An altar is usually a separate and raised platform used for offering sacrifices and burning incense for worship. Today we are looking at how to pull down evil altars fighting against our Divine destiny. An evil altar is a platform or a separate place where sacrifices are offered by the agents of darkness like a priest or a wicked one to cage or hold the destiny of men down. An evil altar is a place where the souls of men are caged and destroyed by the devil. When this evil altar is raised against a man, it goes to work to ...

OH LORD, SHOW ME MERCY

And he showed me Joshua the high Priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him. (Zachariah3:1) Zechariah 3 talks of a vision shown by God Almighty to the prophet Zechariah concerning Joshua who was the High Priest at the time. The job of Joshua as the High Priest is to connect the people to God by generally praying and interceding for them.  It therefore means that in carrying out this duty, Joshua must approach God in righteousness because the God we are talking about is a God whose eyes are so pure that they cannot behold iniquity. But here, Joshua was standing before God in filthy garments. WHAT GARMENT ARE YOU WEARING? Filthy garment can be termed a dirty garment; it is a garment that is stained. It is a garment of unrighteousness, a garment of sin. It is a garment of faithlessness and doubt. The only thing that can separate us from God, making us not to have an experience with Him is sin. For anyone to successfully serve God h...
