Garments are very significant in the lives and destinies of people, both in the spiritual and physical realm.

REPRESENTATIONS OF GARMENTS:

Garments impart identity

Garments define authority

Garments confer opportunity
There is a way you are dressed that will either open or close your doors

Garments reveal prosperity

Garments also reveal adversity

DIVERSE KINDS OF GARMENTS:

1. Garments of shame and reproach (2 Samuel 13:19; Ezra 9:5-6)

2. Garments of wretchedness and poverty (Job 13:28; Josh. 9:5; James 5:1-3)

2. Garments of disease and affliction (Job 30:18; Mark 10:50)

3. Garments of sorrow and depression (Ps. 69:10-11; Gen 37:34; Job 16:15-16; Ps. 35:13, 30:11)

4. Garments of widowhood (Gen. 38:14,19; 1Kings 17:8-10)

5. Garments of captivity and imprisonment (2Kings 25:29; Gen. 41:14)

6. Garments of filthiness and impurity (Gen. 35:2; Rev. 3:4)

WHAT TO DO TO DESTROY EVIL GARMENTS:

✓ By the discovery or revelation of the garment (Zech. 3:1-5)

✓ By the decree of the Most High (Zech. 3:1-5; Rev. 1:6; 1Pet. 2:9)

✓ By the deployment of the fire (Zech. 3:1-5; Lev. 13:51-52, 57)

✓ By making demands on the robe of righteousness (Job 29:14; Isa. 61:10)

PRAYERS:

Father, we come before You today in agreement against every evil garment; garments of shame and reproach, garments of wretchedness and poverty, garments of disfavour in our lives, families, community and Nation and we command you garments to catch FIRE IN Jesus’ Name.

OH LORD, SHOW ME MERCY

And he showed me Joshua the high Priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him. (Zachariah3:1) Zechariah 3 talks of a vision shown by God Almighty to the prophet Zechariah concerning Joshua who was the High Priest at the time. The job of Joshua as the High Priest is to connect the people to God by generally praying and interceding for them.  It therefore means that in carrying out this duty, Joshua must approach God in righteousness because the God we are talking about is a God whose eyes are so pure that they cannot behold iniquity.
