DOES GOD CARES IF YOU GO TO CHURCH?

Does God cares if You Go To Church? There are many Christians who love going to church but there are also many Christians who don’t. It has become increasingly popular for Christians to stay at home and find alternative methods to practice their faith including prayer, meditation and personal Bible study. Many people who don’t attend church regularly or at all wonder what the point of going to church is if they have a personal relationship with God. While not attending church will not send you to hell or make God love you any less, it is not what God hoped for His people and can hinder spiritual growth. First, to understand why God cares if we go to church, it’s important to understand the definition of church. Church is commonly understood to be a building used for public Christian worship but the biblical definition characterizes the church as people. We see the word church used in the Bible multiple ways. First, it is described as the body of Christ. The church is often def...

THE ESSENCE OF CHRISTIANITY

TOPIC: THE ESSENCE OF CHRISTIANITY BY: EVANG. KINIKA ENWENEMATI TEXT: ACTS 11:26 What is Christianity all about? What is the use of going to church? What is the product of going to church activities? There are those in church today for maybe a part of social activities as well, and there are those in church in search of miracles, problems of life is too much, let me go for God to help me. What is the essence of Christianity? I want to say that anything we do in church that did not ends us in heaven was a waste of life. What is the use of a miracle of walking out of a wheelchair and then still ended up in hell? What is the use of a miracle that the blind see, lame walk, deaf hear, dumb speak and all that but still ended up in hell? I mean what is the use of being in church and still ends up in hell with those that never go to church at all? Ending in the same place with prostitutes, drunkards, womanizers, homosexuals, murderers, armed rubbers, adulterers etc. So it is very im...

HELL IS REAL

TOPIC: HELL IS REAL BY: ENWENEMATI KINIKA KINGSLEY TEXT: LUKE 16:19-31 One of the greatest asset of life is “truth” truth which is reality. The best gift anybody can give another person is the gift of truth. Truth is the secret of freedom in this world and in the world to come. John 8:32 says …ye shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. That is why the devil does everything to cover the truth from man, one of the truth the devil is working hard at all times to cover from this generation is that after this life on earth there is another life called eternity. Eternity is another life after death on earth. In eternity we have a place called HELL and a place called HEAVEN. The devil tries to cover the truth that hell exist and heaven exist. But today I want to tell us the truth, though we have heard about it but I want to convince us the more with few Bible scriptures. In Luke 16:19-31 tells us a story about the poor man Lazarus and the Rich man; “There was a cer...

SAVE YOUR SOUL

TOPIC: SAVE YOUR SOUL BY: ENWENEMATI KINIKA KINGSLEY TEXT: ROMANS 6:23 The moment you step into enternity you’re going to reap the rewards of the choices you’ve made on this earth. Will you enjoy an everlasting life in the presence of a loving God – or suffer a horrifying fate in unquenchable flame? Have you ever seriously considered whether you’ve done enough to spend eternity in heaven? Truth is, you can’t be good enough to get into Heaven on your own. God-the-Father has set the standard by His perfection. Therefore, the first step toward the pearly gates begins with a simple acknowledgement of what’s necessary to enter … Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect. — Matthew 5:48 If that doesn’t describe you … then you’ve got a problem (in fact, we’ve all got a problem). You don’t think you’re perfect do you? In fact, the Bible says … As it is written, there is none righteous, no not one. — Romans 3:10 That means you, that means me … ...

FIVE REASONS JESUS CAME

Topic: Five Reasons Jesus Came Text: I John 4:11-16 By: Enwenemati Kinika Kingsley Introduction: Five times in this epistle the apostle John emphasizes in very clear language the fact and purpose of the Lord's incarnation. *His coming was prophetically anticipated* A star and scepter out of Israel. (Num 24:17) "I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth." (Mat 2:1-2) "Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, {2} Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him." A virgin birth of Immanuel (Isa 7:14) "Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call ...

TEN PITFALLS IN THE PROPHETIC MINISTRY

TOPIC:  *TEN PITFALLS IN THE PROPHETIC MINISTRY* BY – DANIEL AFI 1. *Money and Fame* Money is a major destroyer of a prophetic calling. Some prophets have fallen because of the love of money. Balaam was led to prophesy to Balak because of money. Do not allow money to lead you into prophecy. We easily release prophetic words when someone gives us an earthly blessing. Some give scaring prophecies to people and make financial demand to use the money to avert the danger. You must be led by the Spirit before prophesying. Beloved, what is motivating you to prophesy? Some prophecies are founded on pride and the craving for fame and popularity. I discovered that true prophets of God usually hide their identity; they don’t want to be known. There were 7,000 quiet prophets in Israel during the time of Elijah that refused to bow to Baal. 2. *Over Familiarity with the Prophetic Office:* This is another pitfall in the prophetic Ministry. The sin of profanity is taking the thing...

DENY YOURSELF, CARRY YOUR CROSS AND FOLLOW ME

TOPIC: DENY YOURSELF, TAKE UP YOUR CROSS AND FOLLOW ME BY: ENWENEMATI KINIKA KINGSLEY (LLB) TEXT: MARK 8:31 Introduction: He then began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, chief priests and teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and after three days rise again. He spoke plainly about this, and Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. But when Jesus turned and looked at his disciples, he rebuked Peter. "Get behind me, Satan!" he said. "You do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men." Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. (Mark 8:31-34) So what I would like for us to look at is "How do we DENY ourselves?" Because obviously we need to. The first thing I want to do is define the word "deny".  The on-line dictionary lists several...

PREPARE A HABITATION FOR GOD

TOPIC: PREPARE A HABITATION FOR GOD TEXT: EXODUS 15:2 BY: ENWENEMATI KINIKA KINGSLEY (LLB) The children of Israel were in captivity for years and suddenly God delivered them from the hands of their enemies. I prophesy that this same God will not only hear your cry and see your afflictions but that He will also deliver you from all your troubles. After the children of Israel crossed the red sea, they sang in Exo. 15:2, “The Lord is my strength and song, and He is become my salvation: He is my God, and I will prepare Him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt Him”. Moses and the people soon realized that this God that gave them such a victory cannot be overlooked or taken for granted. They so much desired His continued presence that they committed to preparing a habitation for Him through praising Him. The obvious question therefore will be how do I prepare a habitation for the Lord? The answer is not farfetched. Ps 22:3, says “But thou art holy, O thou that inhab...

KEYS TO TERRITORIAL TAKEOVER

TOPIC: KEYS TO TERRITORIAL TAKEOVER (3) – THE FIGHTING SPIRIT By: Dr. Paul Enenche (Donamis Int'l Ministry) The fighting spirit is a non-negotiable necessity for the taking over of territories and the possession of gates You cannot begin to possess until you are set to contend Possession is accompanied by contention (Matt. 11:12) Spiritual aggression is required for spiritual possession (Matt. 11:12) It is the violent, not the timid, that take things in the realm of the Spirit If you avoid the fight, you forfeit the flight; if you avoid the fight, you forfeit the height In any realm you find yourself, it is important that you are a fighter! You need to be fightful! This life has no mercy on people who don’t have guts! SCRIPTURAL EXAMPLES OF PEOPLE WITH THE FIGHTING SPIRIT: 1. Caleb (Josh. 14:6-14) It is battle readiness that guarantees destiny fulfilment You are not set for your right until you are set to fight It takes a fight to get your right; it takes coura...

GOD WORKS IN A MYSTERIOUS WAY

Topic: The Mystery of Pain and Sorrow Text: Isaiah 57:15 I suppose that one of the greatest mysteries about God and His movement is that He often works through pain and sorrow. That God would allow one of His children to suffer seems so contrary to what we know and believe about Him. Our tendency is to think that God’s children should be immune from difficulty. We reason that there should be a hedge of protection put around us that keeps us from all harm. Yet scripture teaches us over and over again that suffering is sometimes a part of God’s will for our lives. The book of Isaiah tells us something very special about God’s feelings towards His children who are suffering. Isaiah 57:15 "For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones." Perhaps there are few m...

NEW IDENTIFICATION

*INSPIRATION* (Giving direction to your day) By: Pastor Ola Aina                                Topic: NEW IDENTIFICATION* Text: Isaiah 62:2 “And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory; and thou shall be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name.” (Isa 62:2) Names play a very significant role in virtually every culture. *In several cultures names are given to signify the period the person was born, the type of family they were born into and in some cases the circumstances surrounding the birth of the person.* *A name serves majorly as a means of identification.* There are some names that once you hear them you can say precisely where the person is coming from. *Its interesting to note that God also has promised and fulfilled the promise to also give us a new name.* This is extremely important for us to understand. This therefore forms our new ...

DISCONNECT AND CONNECT

*INSPIRATION* (Giving direction to your day) By: Pst Ola Aina Topic: DISCONNECT AND CONNECT Text: 5:27-28 “When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. For she said, if I may touch but his cloths, I shall be whole.” (Mark 5:27-28) This woman in our anchor scripture today had suffered so long from this problem. She had done everything possible medically to get her problem solved but nothing worked out. She had lost so much money all in a bid to get a solution. She eventually had an encounter with the healing power of God. The most natural thing to do in such a terrible state was to be so engrossed or preoccupied with the challenge. This woman at this point of her life realised that getting preoccupied with her challenge was not the way out.  *She had to disconnect from her pain to connect with the possibilities of God.*  *She began to talk to herself. She knew within herself that it was not over.* She knew right from within t...

HIDDEN SIN IS A KILLER

Topic: Hidden Sin is a Killer By: Enwenemati Kinika Kingsley Introduction: I love reading and studying the Old Testament.  It is very clear that the things that the nation of Israel went through were recorded for our benefit; to be an example to us of how to live a life that is not only pleasing to God but also a life that is happy, prosperous and fulfilling. When I read the Old Testament and come across the word “Israel”, I substitute my name for “Israel”.  So, for example, I might read “Israel has sinned…”   and substitute “Kinika has sinned…”  Or, “God’s anger burned against Israel” and substitute “God’s anger burned against Kinika”.  You get the idea. It’s quite an eye-opener when you personalize the scripture in this way.  You see that the victories and defeats that Israel faced are very much the same as what you and I face everyday in our Christian lives but on a different scale. Israel, like you and me, had a tendency to run to God when th...

WHY HELL?

Topic: Why Hell? Text: Romans 1:20 How Can a Loving God Send Anyone to Hell? Many atheists use this argument against the faith, but here are the facts. As you may have had someone ask you, or you may have been asked yourself, how a loving God could possibly ever send someone to hell. It’s a valid question to want to have answered. If the Bible says God is so loving, then surely he would never condemn someone to such a place. However there are a lot of problems with the question itself, and with some logic and Biblical explanation the question clearly can be answered. Firstly, we have to define what a loving God is. The phrase assumes that a “loving God” as a non-confrontational being who will tolerate anything someone does. However that is not the Biblical definition of what God’s love is. God does not tolerate sin, and in fact hates sins of murder. According to 1 John 4:16 says that “God is love.” That means that God is the definition of love, and therefore cannot do...
