TOPIC: HELL IS REAL

One of the greatest asset of life is “truth” truth which is reality. The best gift anybody can give another person is the gift of truth. Truth is the secret of freedom in this world and in the world to come.
John 8:32 says …ye shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. That is why the devil does everything to cover the truth from man, one of the truth the devil is working hard at all times to cover from this generation is that after this life on earth there is another life called eternity.
Eternity is another life after death on earth. In eternity we have a place called HELL and a place called HEAVEN. The devil tries to cover the truth that hell exist and heaven exist. But today I want to tell us the truth, though we have heard about it but I want to convince us the more with few Bible scriptures.
In Luke 16:19-31 tells us a story about the poor man Lazarus and the Rich man; “There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead”
I will return back to the story, let me tell us five truth the devil is covering from us about HELL
1. Psalm 9:17 says: The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
The first truth to take note of now is that there is a place called hell. And is a place where the wicked go.
2. Matthew 25:41 says; Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
Truth number two is that hell was prepared for the devil and his angels. God never prepared hell for man. People only go to hell because the chose to obey the devil instead of God.
3. Psalm 18:5 says; The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me.
Truth number three is that hell is a place of everlasting sorrows and pain.
4. Matthew 10:28 says; “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”
Truth number four is that hell is a place of eternal destruction of the body and soul. A place where the body and soul will be in everlasting destruction.
Therefore you shouldn’t be afraid of he that can only done damage to your body alone, the assassins, the kidnappers, the armed robbers, witches and wizards etc., they can only kill your body and not the soul, but fear He (God) who is able to destroy both your body and soul in hell.
5. Mark 9:43-48 says; “And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.”
Truth number five is that Hell is a place whose fire can never quench and whose worms cannot die.
According to the scripture where we just read, anything that can deny you Heaven and take you to hell you should flee from them. Is it womanizing, drunkenness, Adultery, Adulatory, Witchcraft practices, Murder, Thieving, Cultism, Homosexuality etc. Do not be deceived, anyone in such act cannot enter the Kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10)
There’s a place called Hell and there’s a place called Heaven. The righteous shall go to heaven and the wicked (disobedience to God) shall perish in hell.
Let me open up to you now, anybody you know who died without accepting Jesus Christ is right now roasting away in the burning lake of hell because hell is real.
Now let’s return to the story of the poor Lazarus and the rich man.
In Luke 16 :26 we were told of a rich man who was so rich and fare sumptuously and was eating good food everyday. And there was a poor beggar that was right at the gate of this rich man’s house, people had to carry this beggar to the gate of this rich man everyday that was to show you how weak the poor beggar was.
He had no power to carry himself, they had to lay him at the gate, the man was very hungry, was sick full of sores and pain and was helpless. And he desires the crumbs from the rich man’s table in other words, he is not looking for the main food to eat but if anything can fall from the table of this rich man let me eat. But obviously, nobody gave him because there was no record. And the poor beggar died of hunger, and the dogs came and licked he sores, he died and under the nostrils of the wicked rich man.
The rich man that has enough money to feed entire community.
But this is what is important, the bible said that Lazarus (the poor beggar) died and the rich man also died.
That is in verse 22 of Luke 16, it came to pass that the poor man Lazarus died and was carried by angels to heaven into Abraham bosom. And the rich man also died and was buried. What does that mean to you?
Nobody is too rich or too poor for death. The beggar died and the rich man also died. We would have been thinking that the wealth of this rich man could have prevented him from death.
That word “also” is an implications word that nobody is to rich or too poor for death. Nobody is too rich enough to escape death. And nobody is too poor enough to die.
And also it means nobody is too righteous enough to escape death and nobody is too wicked enough to escape death. No matter how wicked and strong the person might think he is, he can’t defeat the call of death. And nobody is too weak enough to be abandoned by death. Death has no pity on anybody.
I like to tell every strong man and every powerful man to wake up because death is a universal calamity that will come to everybody one day.
We heard or read about a man called Adolf Hitler, who see himself a god in Germany and a terror in the entire world. Idi Amin former president of Uganda who was a cannibal in nature, who eat human fresh. Osama Bin Laden etc. Where all known to be powerful, deadly in nature, strong but could not escape death just as we can’t and all going to die one day. That is not the news, but what is beyond death is what matters.
The bible said, Lazarus the poor beggar died and was carried by angels into heaven. I don’t know what happened, but nobody mentioned that Lazarus was buried. In verse 22, the rich man also died and was buried. This is what I think, it looks to me like when the dog finished licking he sores, he was the arranged and buried him into the earth like a dog, like a nobody he is. There was no burial occasions or ceremony recorded.
But when the rich man died, it was recorded that he was buried. I think that he got a befitting burial, I think that all the dignitaries in Jerusalem arrived at his burial. I think that he got a burial of a celebrity, it looks like the coffin was imported from overseas. And the most expensive costly garment was put on him into the coffin. All manner of drinks, assorted wines and alcohol were available, the who and who in the land were there.
But unknown to the celebration, why everybody was passing and signing a condolence register, the rich man was already roasting in hell, unaware that anybody was giving him a celebrity burial.
Let me say this to you reading this message right now, the most important thing is not how you were buried but where you will spend your eternity. What happened after death.
We can be buried in a multimillion naira coffin but ends up in hell. Unknown to the people that while busy in their burial ceremony the rich man is already in hell crying for little drop of water to cool his burning throat.
I want you my readers to hearken to my message now that Hell is real. This rich man lived life like there was no tomorrow, he lived like there was no eternity. The bible said he feed so sumptuously everyday. Everyday in his house was a party, a disco hall just as many of you reading my message right now.
Most of you are President, Governors, Senators, commissioners, professionals, Politicians etc. You are living daily as if eternity does not exist because life is Fair in your side, you have money, cars, houses, good homes and good health unlike others who are not privileged as you are.
But one day, everybody will realize that there’s life after death.
Many of us, in our homes there are different assorted on number of cars parked, we hide money in our cupboards billions of naira and foreign currency.
Probably there are no good roads to go to our houses, probably there are poor beggars like Lazarus around us perishing and dying of hunger.
And when we die, non of this properties would be buried with us. Job said, naked came from my mothers womb and naked I shall return. Vanity upon vanity all is vanity.
How you lived is not important but how you fare after you due. Why? The poor man died and was denied a burial but was carried by angels to heaven but the rich man died and was given a befitting burial but ended in hell, it looks to me that he was escorted by the demons to hell.
Hear me my beloved brethren, I don’t care how you live on earth and I don’t want you to envy anybody’s life here on earth how rich or position he is if je doesn’t know God. No matter how popular or successful he is if he doesn’t know God don’t envy him because that man is busy gathering resources other people will inherit and he will be roasting in fire. What he pursued others will take it.
Luke 16:23 says; and in hell, he lift up his eyes and seeth Abraham a far off and Lazarus in his bosom. This is the final point you will not forget today, everybody will one day lift up his eyes to God. Either in this world or in the world to come. To look up for help or to lookup for mercy.
There are some of you that will lookup now after reading this message and say Lord Jesus have mercy upon me, I hand over my life to you and the Lord will show them mercy. And there are also some people after reading this message that will say I don’t care if eternity exist or not. But one day in the pit of hell they will say oh Lord, have mercy upon me but at that time His mercy is of no consequence in your life.
Those who are too big enough to look up to God now, will become to small to lookup to God later. You have business concerns in many countries you never have time for church, you are too serious of your job, you are busy enjoying life with those young girls and peoples wives and husbands, you never have time for God now.
You are too rich to remember God, one day you will all lookup to God when there’s no more check books to sign, no more cash to spend in hell, no more hotels and club to visit in hell, no more cigarette and hard drugs for you, no more prostitute to patronize, nobody to envy or jealous at, all you could see is unquenchable flame of fire burning and tormenting you. From years to years and generation to generation you will be roasting.
