Topic: DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
Text: 5:27-28

“When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. For she said, if I may touch but his cloths, I shall be whole.” (Mark 5:27-28)

This woman in our anchor scripture today had suffered so long from this problem. She had done everything possible medically to get her problem solved but nothing worked out. She had lost so much money all in a bid to get a solution. She eventually had an encounter with the healing power of God.

The most natural thing to do in such a terrible state was to be so engrossed or preoccupied with the challenge. This woman at this point of her life realised that getting preoccupied with her challenge was not the way out.

*She had to disconnect from her pain to connect with the possibilities of God.*

*She began to talk to herself. She knew within herself that it was not over.*

She knew right from within that solution still exist. It’s possible that you lost a job or something precious; it will be of no use if you spend the rest of your life preoccupied to that loss and disappointment.

There is an urgent need for you to disconnect from the pain of the past. *If all you keep doing is to talk about your disappointments you have tied yourself down to that low level of life.*

We must consciously disconnect from the past and connect to what God wants to bring forth in that situation. This woman connected to the healing power of God. It was not so much the power of God that healed her but rather her faith in the possibilities of God for her freedom. From the response of Jesus you’ll see clearly it was her faith that did the job.

*Signs that you are tied down to your past and disappointments is when you are so preoccupied with it that your heart is always on it and you are always talking about it.*

*Its time you start thinking and talking of the victory you desperately desire.*

Don’t wait for things to happen before you talk about it. Faith speaks before the manifestation of what we desire to see happen in our lives.

*PRAYER:*
In the name of Jesus I disconnect from the past; I disconnect from every loss in the past.

MY DESTINY VS ALTARS

“And it came to pass the same night, that the LORD said unto him, Take thy father’s young bullock, even the second bullock of seven years old, and throw down the altar of Baal that thy father hath, and cut down the grove that is by it. And build an altar unto the LORD thy God upon the top of this rock, in the ordered place, and take the second bullock, and offer a burnt sacrifice with the wood of the grove which thou shalt cut down.” Judges 6:25-25 Introduction An altar is usually a separate and raised platform used for offering sacrifices and burning incense for worship. Today we are looking at how to pull down evil altars fighting against our Divine destiny. An evil altar is a platform or a separate place where sacrifices are offered by the agents of darkness like a priest or a wicked one to cage or hold the destiny of men down. An evil altar is a place where the souls of men are caged and destroyed by the devil. When this evil altar is raised against a man, it goes to work to ...

OH LORD, SHOW ME MERCY

And he showed me Joshua the high Priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him. (Zachariah3:1) Zechariah 3 talks of a vision shown by God Almighty to the prophet Zechariah concerning Joshua who was the High Priest at the time. The job of Joshua as the High Priest is to connect the people to God by generally praying and interceding for them.  It therefore means that in carrying out this duty, Joshua must approach God in righteousness because the God we are talking about is a God whose eyes are so pure that they cannot behold iniquity. But here, Joshua was standing before God in filthy garments. WHAT GARMENT ARE YOU WEARING? Filthy garment can be termed a dirty garment; it is a garment that is stained. It is a garment of unrighteousness, a garment of sin. It is a garment of faithlessness and doubt. The only thing that can separate us from God, making us not to have an experience with Him is sin. For anyone to successfully serve God h...
