FIX YOUR THOUGHTS

Topic: FIX YOUR THOUGHTS*
Speaker: Pastor Ola Aina
Text: Philippians 4:8

*INSPIRATION*
(Giving direction to your day)

“And now, dear brothers and sisters let me say one more thing as I close this letter. Fix your thoughts on what is true and honourable and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely...”Phil 4:8 (NLT)

*✍Focus determines reality. What we set our minds on defines for us what is real.* If we focus on the lies of the devil it assumes the control of our lives. If someone tells you that you are good for nothing and you keep focusing on that it becomes real in your life.

*✍Life experiences will also begin to comply with our focus.* It’s so important that we deliberately begin to focus our minds on things that are true about us according to scriptures.

We may see ourselves as imperfect and unqualified; but then the truth of God’s word reveals to us that God is at work in us. we are projects in the hand of God and he will keep working on us until the best in us comes out. Instead of focusing on the imperfections; we should focus on what God is doing in us.

*Joyce Meyer says “Where your mind goes your life will automatically follow.”*

It therefore means that our mind’s focus will also dictate the direction of our lives. The mind is like a compass that shows the direction we should be heading. This is why it’s dangerous to allow wrong information to occupy our minds.

*The focus of our minds is the focus of our lives.*

Focus your mind on becoming a matured and responsible individual, focus on becoming everything you were born to become, focus your mind on discovering God’s plans and purpose for your life.

Stop focusing on what you don’t have, you’ll get discouraged.

*Focus on what you have; the miracles of life starts from what you have and not what you don’t have.*

*Stop focusing on what you lost; focus on what you have left.* You have life, you have the grace of God, you have the ability of God in you and you have a unique purpose in life.

*DECISION:*
Lord I take my mind off everything that is not right. I focus on what your word says.

MY DESTINY VS ALTARS

“And it came to pass the same night, that the LORD said unto him, Take thy father’s young bullock, even the second bullock of seven years old, and throw down the altar of Baal that thy father hath, and cut down the grove that is by it. And build an altar unto the LORD thy God upon the top of this rock, in the ordered place, and take the second bullock, and offer a burnt sacrifice with the wood of the grove which thou shalt cut down.” Judges 6:25-25 Introduction An altar is usually a separate and raised platform used for offering sacrifices and burning incense for worship. Today we are looking at how to pull down evil altars fighting against our Divine destiny. An evil altar is a platform or a separate place where sacrifices are offered by the agents of darkness like a priest or a wicked one to cage or hold the destiny of men down. An evil altar is a place where the souls of men are caged and destroyed by the devil. When this evil altar is raised against a man, it goes to work to ...

OH LORD, SHOW ME MERCY

And he showed me Joshua the high Priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him. (Zachariah3:1) Zechariah 3 talks of a vision shown by God Almighty to the prophet Zechariah concerning Joshua who was the High Priest at the time. The job of Joshua as the High Priest is to connect the people to God by generally praying and interceding for them.  It therefore means that in carrying out this duty, Joshua must approach God in righteousness because the God we are talking about is a God whose eyes are so pure that they cannot behold iniquity. But here, Joshua was standing before God in filthy garments. WHAT GARMENT ARE YOU WEARING? Filthy garment can be termed a dirty garment; it is a garment that is stained. It is a garment of unrighteousness, a garment of sin. It is a garment of faithlessness and doubt. The only thing that can separate us from God, making us not to have an experience with Him is sin. For anyone to successfully serve God h...
